(1) GROUPING OF DINING FURNITURE: Including (1) Oak Jacobean style trestle table assembled of new and old parts. A 'distressed' two-plank top rests on turned post and trestle type legs cross braced with a long stretcher and turned banister vertical stiles. Metal brackets are bolted on to support the legs. Under the table top, the legs have splintered cuts where they were cut down from another piece of furniture. The supports for the table top have been borrowed from another piece; there is no wear on this piece. If it were old, it would have the marks where feet rested on it. The placement of the supports does not correspond with the pegs (dowels) that are seen in the top. The regularly spaced dents in the table top indicate intentional 'aging'; the planks have been finished with a modern router. Several stains mar the finish on the top through the center. Dimensions: 29.5" x 99" x 28.5". (1) Welsh Dresser assembled with modern construction techniques from new and old walnut, oak and pine parts. The top section has a straight cornice made of modern molding trimmed with a scalloped apron, over two shelves of modern millwork; flanked by two narrow cupboards with old walnut inlays. Various styles of handwrought hooks line the front of the shelves. Some are missing. Door hinges are modern. It rests on a base with three drawers on turned legs with U shaped stretcher. The drawers, with old walnut panel inlays, have hand wrought pulls attached with modern straps and nails, the escutcheons are modern, attached with nails; and do not correspond to key holes. There are patches and repairs in the top of the base and sides of the top; there are loose and missing pieces of molding. Dimensions: 75.75" H x 61" W x 20" deep overall. Inspected unassembled. (10) 19th c. Jacobean Revival style carved oak side chairs influenced by the work of Alexander Roux (1813 - 1886). The top crest is a carved boar's head flanked by hounds, over hanging game birds, rifles, hanging rabbits and foliage; terminating with a ram's head in the lower center. The center of the back and seats are upholstered with red leatherette and decorative nail heads. Six finials are broken, one of the finials is broken off but available for possible repair. Casters are found on the front legs only; the turned 'turnip' shaped foot has been cut. Wear on chair backs with some losses. The back feet are worn, but the front rails show little wear. The outside backs are not carved. Finish is dull, scuffed. Dimensions: 45" H x 20" W x 17.5" D.
