Large to full margins on each side, tied by well-struck "131" diamond grid cancel with red "Field Force Persia, MA 20 57 PD" circular datestamp on cover to Mahableshawar, red arrival datestamp, cover missing backflap, some severe edgewear, and front/back panels have become detached, stamp with slight gum toning from adhesive used, a presentable and rare use of the 2a Typograph on cover with the "131" numeral cancel of the Persian Field Force--this British military force occupied Bushire for a short period from Dec. 12, 1856 to Oct. 2, 1857--this cover was mailed just prior to the Treaty of Paris on Apr. 4, 1857, which ended hostilities.
