Block of sixteen (4 x 4), mostly large margins to clear at top, small nick at bottom between positions 15 and 16, used with 1854, ½a Blue, Die II (2D; SG 6), two horizontal strips of four, mostly large margins to just touching outer frameline, all cancelled by diamond of dots cancels on ca. 1854-56 cover back only (missing front), clear strike of "Received open and resealed at General Post Office" two-line handstamp, two part strikes of red datestamp at top and bottom (likely London), wax seal remnant affecting two stamps of left ½a strip, some minor wear around edges of multiples, otherwise Very Fine, the cancels help date this cover to 1854-56, we assume this franking with the lower values paid the double ship letter rate (8a x 2) plus 4a inland rate.
